Matt Ogden, Head Coach

Matt Ogden brings over two decades of coaching experience at the collegiate, pre-professional, and youth levels, making him a strong leader for Kings Hammer FC Columbus as they compete in USL League Two. His extensive background in player development and tactical leadership positions the club for success in the upcoming season.
Ogden began his coaching career in 2001 as an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Kenyon College before serving as Head Coach at Dublin Scioto High School (2003-2005). From 2009-2023, he played a pivotal role at Ohio Premier, guiding players through the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) and preparing them for collegiate and professional careers.
Returning to the collegiate game in 2013, Ogden joined Capital University as Men’s Assistant Coach before taking over as Head Women’s Coach in 2015. Over nearly a decade, he has built an impressive 106-62-17 record and earned multiple Coach of the Year honors. Additionally, his tenure as Head Coach of Columbus Eagles FC showcased his ability to develop players for the next level.
As Head Coach of Kings Hammer FC Columbus, Ogden aims to build a competitive squad, implement a dynamic playing style, and cultivate a culture of excellence. His leadership will be instrumental as the club prepares for the USL League Two season, a premier platform for top college players aspiring to advance to the professional ranks.
Chris Duff, Assistant Coach

Chris Duff brings a distinguished background as both a player and coach to Kings Hammer FC Columbus. A standout at Ohio Wesleyan University, Duff earned First Team All-American honors twice and was inducted into the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997. His professional career spanned nearly a decade, competing in leagues such as the USISL, Major Indoor Soccer League, and A-League, representing teams like the Columbus Xoggz, Columbus Invaders, Minnesota Thunder, and Indiana Blast.
Transitioning from player to coach, Chris Duff has dedicated over two decades to developing young soccer talent. His leadership roles at Eagles Soccer Club, Ohio Premier Soccer Club—where he served as Boys Club Director for seven years—and Club Ohio Soccer Club highlight his commitment to youth development and excellence in coaching. Duff’s rich experience and passion for the game make him an invaluable asset to the Kings Hammer FC Columbus coaching staff.
Chris Eaken, Goalkeeping Coach

Chris Eaken serves as the Goalkeeper Coach for Kings Hammer FC Columbus, bringing nearly a decade of specialized coaching experience to the club. Since 2017, Chris has been the Goalkeeper Coach at New Albany High School. He has been instrumental in developing top-tier goalkeepers, focusing on refining technical skills, positioning, and game-readiness. In 2024, Chris joined Kings Hammer New Albany, where his expertise continues to elevate the performance of the club’s goalkeepers at the youth level.
As a former goalkeeper at Ohio Dominican University, Chris brings firsthand playing experience to his coaching philosophy. He holds a Goalkeeper Level 3 Diploma and a USSF National ‘D’ License, underscoring his commitment to continuous development and excellence in the specialized field of goalkeeping. Chris’s passion for the position and his ability to nurture talent make him a key asset to the Kings Hammer FC Columbus coaching staff.
